  • Dr. David Visser, Co-Director

    Dr. David Visser is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  He is recognized in Michiana for his weekly segment on WNDU-16 Saturday Morning show as the “Pet Vet”.  His television work earned him national recognition by the Veterinary News Network and he is a charter member of the American Society of Veterinary Journalists.  He has also written articles for the Family Magazine of Michiana as well as other local publications.  Dr. Visser has served as chair of the Alumni Council of the MSU CVM, President of the Michiana Veterinary Medical Association, board member of the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, as well as other pet charitable organizations in our community.  His surgical skills have earned him respect and referrals from local veterinary practices, but he provides all aspects of medical, preventive and dental care for dogs and cats.  Outside of the practice, Dr. Visser enjoys music and is a 1st violinist with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra.  Although this dedicated veterinarian and practice owner takes his work exceptionally seriously, he sometimes loves nothing more than rolling on the floor with his golden retriever and snuggling with his beloved cats!

  • Dr. Karen Visser, Co-Director

    Dr. Karen D.Visser is a proud graduate from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to veterinary school, she also received a BS degree in Biological Sciences from MSU. Being an absolute lover of animals, science, & teaching, becoming a veterinarian was naturally a lifelong dream come true. She has a special interest in acupuncture, nutrition and other methods of natural healing. She enjoys combining her traditional medical training with those complimentary therapies in order to enhance her own unique style of practice. Among her personal interests she enjoys spending time with her family, David, Anders and Nico, their dog, Lady, and two cats, Simon and Peter.  She loves playing guitar, going to the beach, camping, traveling, reading, watching movies, and MSU Spartan basketball!  She places a high priority on keeping herself spiritually healthy by staying close to God, and on staying physically healthy by regular exercise, and practicing yoga.  She knows that to keep her patients healthy and happy, she too must practice what she preaches!

  • Nichole - Veterinary Technician

    Nichole is a well educated and compassionate, Licensed Veterinary Technician. She provided highly skilled care for pets when assisting our doctors, and while they may be staying with us for medical care such as  Xrays, surgery, and dental cleanings.  She will be pampering patients during routine procedures and making sure your questions are answered!  Nichole lives with the love of her life,  Siberian Husky, Riggs.  She loves to be outside and enjoys disc golfing, walking, and running a 5K every year!  She loves spending time with her family.  Nichole will be here to help at your next visit!

  • Sara - Veterinary Technician

    Sara is one of our hospital’s Veterinary Technicians and your pet’s new best friend! Her warm smile and calming words make you realize that you are in good hands. Outside of the profession, Sara enjoys reading, baking, watching movies, playing video games, and getting together with friends. She is married to her husband Jimmy, and they have two cats, Remmy and Lola, and their newest additions, Gracie, a wonderful German Shepherd.

  • Nicole McCollough-Veterinary Technician

    Being an absolute "lover of anything animals," becoming a veterinary technician was an obvious choice of profession for "Nik."  Nik has a naturally inquisitive nature, and loves to learn.  This love serves her well both professionally and personally.  She is dedicated to finding answers for all of your questions and to making sure that your companions are feeling safe and secure while at our hospital.  Nik loves to spend time with her husband and son, reading, listening to music, watching movies, playing games and spending time outdoors.  Her family also includes three wonderful cats, "Peanut," "Isis," and "Independence."  Come and say hi and get to know her more soon!

  • Nicole - Client Service Specialist

    As a Client Service Specialist, Nicole will be ready to help you the moment you walk through our door!  Her naturally friendly personality, and outgoing spirit will help you and your pet with any scheduling needs or questions you may have.  Nicole has a wonderful cat, Yoda at home, and loves all of our patients like her own.  She enjoys music, outdoors, and spending time with her husband and kids.  Look for her smiling face next time you come to visit us!

  • Niki - Client Service Specialist

    Niki is a Client Service Specialist and will be here to help when you call or come in to see us.  Look for her the next time you come see us, she would love to answer your questions and make sure you and your pet are taken care of!  Niki has a German Shorthair Pointer, named Buford, and a cat, Cleo, at home, and will be getting chickens soon!  She also enjoys gardening, reading, and learning to play guitar.  Look for Niki next time you come by!

    Who says you can't do it all?  Millissa is a master of multiple endeavors!  While she will be serving you as a Customer Service Specialist, we'll let you in our a wonderful secret...Millissa also has a veterinary technician background!  This combo of natural ease for service, coupled with veterinary knowledge is a rare gem!  You will love getting to know Millissa and being the recipient of her expert care both for you and your companions, as much as we love having her in our practice!

    Heather cares for patients and clients as a Pet Care Specialist.  After many years of experience, you can count on Heather to help you when you come in for any area of the practice.     Anna is one of the most loving and gentle people you will ever meet. Her history of growing up on a farm and loving animals, has made her a natural fit to becoming our hospital’s lead Veterinary Ward Assistant. She provides all of our patients with an extra special, “home away from home” touch, and lovingly refers to those boarding with us as “my babies.” Anna is married to her husband, Casey, and has three sons, CJ, Cameron, and Casey, as well as one daughter, Gloria. Her “at home babies” are her dogs Kuzco, and Bella, and her cat, Winston.

    Friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and dependable are only a few of the qualities that Whitney provides all of our patients in her position as Technician Assistant.  She has a natural love all animals and it shows!
    She makes a point to help your companions feel safe and secure, and therefore so can you.  Whitney has many hobbies including cross stitching, loves playing video games, watching movies, reading, and spending time with her two children and her fiance.  She shares her home with a great dane, Karma, and three cats, Duckie, Yoda, and Cheez-it!
